LUCKY me*

August seems to be a Very very lucky month for me. I won the 3rd prize in Safety poster design, then I spend $9 to participate in Kit Kat promotion which I thought the probability of winning is very high since Nestle is giving 4 SAMSUNG NOTE per week (refer below leaflet)

and guess what? Like a dream, I WON ! I won ! samsung note - empty phone on market is selling for ard S$800? keke. I collected my prize with bro, XUeyan and Yuxiang and Yuxiang as my model posing with my new HP!

And then...I received another news that I was awarded the Best safety employee of the year. haha... and the prize? $50 cash voucher & a trophy.

well, all these are really bonus to me. But I do believe strongly that these happened for a reason and I should continue doing GOOD deeds !

Oh, it has been almost 2 months since I last wrote an entry. Was tied up with reports writing and prep. for exams. Al Right, I got my finalised results for the 1st half of my studies. My GPA is 3.3, Ah-Si got 3.4 and so is Jasmint. I'm happy with my results already because I've got an A! I think i did well, considering I'm a working mother with 2 young kids.

But this good results made me wanted to continue do well that I lost focus during my exam preparation period. So i decided to continue enjoying being a student, as for grades wise, as long as I have already tried my best, even if it didnt turn out too well... I wont be too bad to myself. Another proud achievement I had. My photo won the 3rd prize in SMRT Safety poster competition ! It's a simple presentation, done simply with my boys' toys. ke ke ke. From this human target toy...

Place a blank paper on the background, splash some red paint and put 2 target (1 up, 1 down)

and the final product after touch -up.

I can fit into my old dress !

This is a garden-party dress which I got near 5 years ago and recently thanks to the little illness which got me slimmed down slightly, I am now able to fit into this dress again. Yes ! finally !


And in order to show the differences (the before & the after effect), I have done a simple picture comparision.

Note: Weight Gain is calculated as using Yr X minus pre-pregnancy weight in Yr 07.
Well...I'm hoping I can maintain my current weight.

Our next year holiday is OUT !

This is our pictures taken with CEO with top mgmt staffs (VP & abv) as the background. Of course, I wasted no time to Print-screen and send the pictures to both mothers. I'm sure I made them feel proud (smiles).

I received comments from 1-2 colleagues asking me where the University is...
Dublin? Well, It's in Ireland and to be frank I don't know its geographical location on the map...

But who cares? I have checked. This University is a recognised one in Spore and that's good enough for me.

Oct next year (2012) I will be expecting to finish my degree.
Graduation is expected to be in Mar 13 and... that will most probably be our HOLIDAY DESTINATION for YEAR 2013!

We are on SMRT FORWARD magazine !

The editors used our PHOTO in the write-up of MySMRT Run !
So proud of ourselves and Obviously I can't hide the excitement.
I even seek permission from Marlina to print out a copy in COLOURED to keep as souvenir. Of COURSE I AM PROUD, tell me... how often does one get to be featured in prints? Not my 1st time but I really like this one. Looking at picture, one can tell it was so much fun and happy.

So what's next after mySMRTrun?

My next goal --> JP Morgan Run 2011.

My SMRT Run 2010 - 29 Oct

Oh Yess. the run is over and it had my body aching for a week !
And the results? the overall champion goes... to RED Team ! (music) We are the champion ~
Before the run we were only confident of getting the team honors for Ladies Open and Ladies Veteran Category.

The timing guideline that Stephen gave me was 30-35min for average runner. below 25min is good. And how do I fare individually on the actual day? Much faster than I expected !

I was in the 7th position in Ladies Open Category but it's the timing that got me real excited ! the timing was... 28 min 20 sec !

WohOOoo.... this was a whole 7 min faster than my normal training!
and the 4th position's timing was just 20 sec earlier than me !

Sandwich Making Competition

Well, this is the 1st runner-up in Healthy Sandwich Making Competition.

It's INCREDIBLE !
Us? coming up with something of this standard.

But guess what, I actually self-blamed myself that day after the competition ended.
I thought ... my presentation really...(#(#*$(@&#^*@
Quite a rubbish. So happen I have a record.

The self blame didn't lasted longer than a weekend.
I have accepted me as ME. This is my standard now, and I can't possibly thought I would be standing on the stage blowing pple off, right?

So I reflected on Areas for Improvement ...
1) The part on the MC, ya, that guy knew me and he sending regards to both my boys -- caught me off guard.
From now on, shld someone ask "how do u do?" OR "how are u doing"
I wld reply "(singing) VERY WELL, I THANK U~"
2) I did my homework, BUT I just can't say out the NuTRIONAL BENEFITS of the ingredients we used. ARGHHH ! We used wasabi and I knew pple was scare of wasabi ... in a sandwich. So what is wasabi good at? IT PREVENTS CAVITY !
All these add on to my experience "folder".
And I'm still proud that I was courageous we took part in the competition and EARNED ourselves $100 NTUC vouchers each. *grin*

Flute Fingering Practise

ohh Yess ~
today is ...Wednesday and after delaying for 3 days, I finally pushed myself to take out the flute and start on the fingering.

Memorizing and getting familiar with them - the 1st step is always the hardest isnt it?
I had to make friends with them ~ and obviously I needed some help here...

Ladies' envy, Guys' dislike

Horray ! Confinement is over and so SHOPPING here we come !

13th Sep 09 - we went for our officially 1st shopping trip as a family of 4.
As we walked around the shopping mall (MS), many eyes were on us.
Envy from the ladies, and dislike from the guys because ...
my dear hubby had 2 littles guys with him. One at the back and one in front.
let's calculate the total weight...
Yuxiang is 11kg, the backpack is 2 kg, and Yukuan is 3.6kg,
so total weight Zhiyi is cArrying is... 16.6kg !

A Poem from Him to Me

I'm currently pregnant at 33 weeks,
and is feeling more and more...restricted with my movements.
I feel tired too especially looking after YuXiang alone most of the time on weekends.


To my surprise, my supporting spouse created a POEM for me yesterday. There it goes:

You are my wife, my lovely wife.
A selfless companion of my life.
Your joy is my Joy, your laughter is my.
Through all and all, we make it possible.
You are my soul, my light of guidance.
You light it up, and show the brightness.
