Busy Busy November for us ~
For 3 continuous weeks, we attended one wedding.
Really a Fabulous month to get married !

*Kids nowadays are so into technology

*And then @ the wedding dinner when dinner doesnt start that early, the mummies started asking around, " hey, do you have some snacks?" and when all supplies were finishing and the kids were still not satisfied, the daddy raised up to the waiter.
The waiter came over, and he asked "Do you think we can get some noodles or rice for our kids 1st?" and we were served Veg. Duck Rice ! yummilicious ~

*The kids started playing together ie. Yuxiang went over to KaiKia's table and KaiKai came over to ours... Both started to see "hey, what toys did you bring today?"
THis round? KaiKai won becausew he brought Transformer BumbleBee and Yuxiang was totally attracted by it that he wanted to follow them back HOME !

My 1st Term Results

My 1st Term results!

HRM = Human Resource Mgmt Overall a C+
Econs - I had high hopes of getting good grades but at end my assignments were disappointing =(

Zhiyi helpoed me calculated before...
I would need an average of B+ for every module in order to secure my 1st class honors.

Look at my results ! Obviously I need to score A for other modules in order to cover back...Next Exam ...this Sun! and next Sun. Organisation Behviour & Cross-Cultural Mgmt. Interesting topics but... I ponder if I can score ...

Day Camping Series

As part of our plan for our boys to grow up to be healthy & Happy, we are determined to get them outdoors !

So...almost every Sunday we tried different style of day camping @ different locations...And first, my supporting spouse started off with getting "harmob"...

And then we got 2 bikes for our dearies...

and then...we also have big & small tent ...


and then we try another style the next Sunday...Pitch Tent

and we also try....Just having a simple ground sheet...

Pulau Ubin ~

Last Sunday marked another new level of our Local adventure.
My supporting spouse decided to bring our boys for a bumpy boat ride to Pulau Ubin, followed by a little forest walk before we head by to the main land.

Smurf Movie ~ 02 Sep 11

Smurf song: la la la la la la sing a happy song. la la la la la la smurf your whole day long. la la la la la la smuf along with me! la la la la la la simple as can be. Yeah ~ we watched it we watched it ! In celebration of Teachers' Day, so I think islandwide, all the teachers were given a day off on 2 Sep 11. I asked Wendy, Chen PaPa, mama to catch SMURF movie together. Perfect outing with a afternoon tea before the movie then dinner after the show! Yes , it's a very satifiying day.

In collabration with this movie, Macdonald is having SMURF TOYs for their happy meal.
You bet I got a few as well.... Hefty the weight lifter, Dizzy Baker....


I even got Mega Block smurfs... keke....



I like SMURFS, and I dont mind buying a few of the toys and even teaching our boys how to sing SMURF songs, because they have a very happy & positive attitude. Let us learn from them too.

2011 Vacation - Fly to Taipei

YuKuan is 2 !!! Happy bdae Yukuan !
This year, we set our annual vacation on Yukuan's bdae and the day before we took off for Taipei, Our moms got their wish to celebrate their grandson bdae.

08/08/11 morning 10+++am @ Changi Airport,
the happy 6 having some coffee @ Starbucks before the flight.


08/08/11 evening 8+++pm @ TaiPei Main Stn L2, Veggie Rest,
Dinner time ! and cheers to a good meal.


09/08/11 evening 6pm in front of Taipei 101 and...
Happy Birthday Singapore~


and we visited...Window of China （小人国）as well
look at how happy the boys were... seeing their favourite TRAINS.



and the mini version of the famous buildings...


and last but not least... one of the activities which the boys enjoyed most during the trip was... having a bubble bath with their dad.

Outdoor lunch

Another public holiday...both Zhiyi & Hu mama had to work.
But it was always very nice that Zhiyi would come back during lunchtime for us (me & the boys).

So on Vesak Day (17 May 11), he tabao lunch from farm, picked us up for an outdoor lunch ! yipee...

Very hot & sunny but the comforting part was that there's some wind.

and the boys...like their usual self, like to do some running after the lunch.

You bet YuXiang & Yukuan had a good afternoon nap after that (smiles).

Chen mama the Fantastic Chef

She is known for her culinary skills. She has one thick file on the many recipes that she kept from her cooking classes. Today, we would like to introduce,
CHEN MAMA...
my dear mama whom I feel so proud to be her daughter.

On 16 May 11, we celebrated our belated mother's day.
And Chen mama suggested she chose her own menu and cooked herself because she can CHOOSE whatever she want to eat and it's so much cheaper than dinning out.

And this is our BUFFET !

Look what we had ... Egg with cheese, shark fins, otar, bamboo shoots with yam, fish with mango, smeely beans with qio, oor-nee (yam paste dessert w ginko nuts), lotus peanut soup, sweet & sour pork ribs.....

please.... dont expect me to be the same as her. Because she's so good, it's really difficult for me to learn how to cook. But Im a good dish washer, and Im pretty good with cutting veggies. Try me ~

My 1st JP Morgan Run

Many many 1st for this.
1st time taking part in massive run event,
1st longest competivite distance to-date @ 5.6km route.

To celebrate this 1st BIG Run, Let's do A SHORT INTERVIEW ON MYSELF to celebrate it!

1. HOW I TRAINED FOR THE EVENT?
Stopped regular runs after MySMRT run last Oct.
To let my body get use to the distance, started off with 2km slow jogs for 3-4times a week for a 3 weeks period before increasing to 3km.
Thereafter, alternate between 3km, 4.5km, 5km and 6km 1 month before the run at 2 different locations. Neighborhood for flatter, smooth running surface but with an incline and decline slope. Lower seletar reservoir for rougher running surface and strong wind (at times).

2. WHAT WERE MY IMPRESSION & THOUGHTS OF MY FELLOW TDR TEAM MATES?
1st time meeting most of our TDR teammates. We all come from different depts but our TDR team is a group whom would makes one feels at ease & comfortable with almost instantly for we all have something in common - SMRT and running.

We tried to make our way as near as possible to the starting point but in the end this was the best we could get.

The starting point and ... the super many people (13,000 runners!)


3. WHAT WENT THRU MY THOUGHTS DURING THE RACE ITSELF?
Super many people! It was difficult even to want to run at a faster pace.
“Not-too-fast, not-too-fast…go with my comfortable pacing”, I told myself. But I can’t help pondering how was it possible for some ladies to be running faster when they don’t seem that athletic to me (Pardon me for my frankness). It did get me down a little before I accepted the fact they may be gifted runners or put in lots of hardwork.

Run past the 2km mark, and found myself constantly on the outlook of our runners on the opposite return route. So thrilled when I spotted Meng chai, Rahim, Izhar…Lester and Aishah that I felt like shouting out loud “SMRT ~”

It was some 500m from the finishing point when I spotted Ming Yue in front, and I thought “So good to see someone from our team !” She was sure my energy boost for the last dash towards the finishing point.

4. WHAT WERE MY FEELINGS AFTER THE RACE?
Haha! Finally reached the finishing point but Where’s everyone?
MingYue and I were lost. It was rather embarrassing to have everyone waited for us.
And the walk back to HQ was a long one. So tiring. But Im so relieved I have Mingyue’s company. and i kept thinking "oh dear... it's getting late. Can i have my dinner @ 8pm ?"

My results? 35min 12sec
Team results?
SMRT Team 1 (Men) - 13th place (1:37:59)
SMRT Team 2 (Men) - 98th place (2:06:07)
SMRT Team 1 (Mix) - 61th place (2:24:47)
SMRT Team(Ladies) - 24th place (2:21:33)

I posted one of the photos on facebook as well and received many comments that the boys are SooOOooOOooo cute. I think I know the reason. Through these 2 photos, it showed happiness, and close botherhood.

At this point of time,
YuXiang is 3 years and ... 3 mths old
YuKuan is 20mths old

Thomas Movie Time !

After a week-long of waiting, Sunday has finally come and we were all eager to make our way to Orchard Cineleisure for our Thomas Movie.

It was just an one-hour movie but felt like a Thomas Fans gathering in the cinema (laughs). They displayed a Big poster board of Thomas and the movie title "Misty Island Rescue" and of course we had to pose with it for some....evidence ? haha.
